Zhenghong Yu [俞政宏]
Someone who is curious about the CS realm

I am a fourth-year undergraduate student at the School of Information Science and Technology at Shanghai Tech University. I am also a Visting International Student at the School of Computer, Data & Information Sciences at University of Wisconsin-Madison, advised by Prof. Xiangyao Yu.

Research Topic

My academic focus extends beyond the specificities of CloudOLTP, embracing a broader spectrum of Database Management Systems (DBMS). I am captivated by the challenges of scalable distributed transaction processing and their opportunities to enhance data management. The complexities of ensuring high availability, managing network latency, and achieving distributed commitment in these systems are the frontiers I am eager to explore. I aim to contribute significantly by innovating and implementing solutions that bridge the gap between theoretical frameworks and practical, real-world database applications.

Projects

RISCV-CPU Simulator [CODE]

Conducted CPU simulation experiments based on RISC‑V architecture, such as CAS instruction, branch prediction, hybrid three‑level cache model, multi‑core model, etc.

Target Detection and Motion Estimation [CODE]

Deployed a target detection and object motion estimation model on an embedded system (NvidiaNX) using simplified Picodet Network, linear Kalman filtering, etc.
It significantly contributes to our Team Magician winning in RMUC 2022.
